How do I find specialty training near me?

Use Browse Classes to filter by specialty, state, city, dates, or training level. Browse by State is another starting point.

Finding classes

How do I register for a class?

Open the class detail page and choose VIEW CLASS / REGISTER WITH PROVIDER. Registration happens on the provider’s website.

Does Jobtown collect registration fees?

No. Providers handle registration, payment, training delivery, and certification. Jobtown does not reserve seats.

Are course dates and prices always current?

Schedules, prices, and seat availability can change. Check the listing’s last updated date and confirm all details with the provider before making plans.

How can I verify a course’s prerequisites or certifications?

Ask the provider directly and confirm that the course meets your department’s or authority having jurisdiction’s requirements.

What should I do if a class is cancelled or information is incorrect?

Contact the provider about registration or cancellation. Use the report link on the class page to tell Jobtown about a listing correction.

Yes. Class listings are free.

Who can submit a training class?

Training schools, instructors, and organizations offering relevant firefighter training can submit a class for review.

How do I submit a class?

Use Submit a Class. Include the course title, provider, specialty, location, actual session dates, and official registration or calendar URL in your details. The form tells you whether it was sent.

How long does approval take?

There is no guaranteed approval timeline. Submissions need review and source checks before publication. Sending a submission does not automatically publish it.

How do I update or remove a class?

Use Contact and include the class page URL, the requested change, and a provider source we can check.

Can I submit recurring training?

Yes. Include each confirmed session date and the official calendar link. An undated recurring program is not presented as a confirmed upcoming session.
