Course description
A 40-hour course for current pump operators with about 8 hours of classroom and 32 hours of hands-on scenarios. Topics include attack and supply pumper positioning, hydrant problems, dual and tandem pumping, alternative and multiple-intake drafting, dump-tank and fill-site operations, and supplying aerial master streams. Students bring helmet, gloves and boots; optional on-site housing.
Prerequisites
Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Series or Pumper Driver/Operator Series.
