Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Wesley Pruitt, doing business as Jobtown Class Board (“Jobtown,” “we”), 127 Nathan Forest Dr, Hendersonville, TN 37075. By using jobtownclassboard.com or submitting a class, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site.

2. What Jobtown is

Jobtown is a free, independent directory of firefighter and rescue training classes. We do not teach, run, certify, sell seats for, or register anyone for any class, and we do not collect payments for classes. Registration, payment, refunds, cancellations, prerequisites, safety and certification are between you and the provider.

3. No affiliation or endorsement

Jobtown is not affiliated with or endorsed by any fire department, union (including the IAFF), state fire marshal, academy, certifying body or provider. Listing a class is not an endorsement or a statement about its quality, safety or credentials. Names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify classes.

4. Listing information is provided as-is

Listings come from providers and public sources and can change or contain errors. We try to keep them current but do not guarantee that any date, price, location, availability or credential is accurate or complete. Confirm all details with the provider before you register, pay or travel. Do not rely on Jobtown for safety, medical or certification decisions; check with your department and the authority having jurisdiction.

Listings link to websites we don’t own or control. We’re not responsible for their content, policies or transactions, and visiting them is at your own risk.

6. Submitting a class

If you submit a class or flyer, you confirm that:

  • you are the provider or are authorized by them;
  • the information is true, current and not misleading, and you’ll tell us about changes or cancellations;
  • you have the rights to any text, logo, photo or flyer you send; and
  • it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or break any law.

You give Jobtown a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish, display, format, edit for length and clarity, and share the listing and flyer on the site, in alert emails and on our social media, for as long as it is listed and a reasonable time after. You can ask us to remove it at any time. We may decline, edit or remove any listing for any reason, including expired, unverifiable or inaccurate information. Listings are currently free; if we offer paid features later, separate terms will apply.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t submit false, spam or offensive content; scrape or copy the directory in bulk; try to break, overload or get around security on the site; or use the site to break the law.

8. Email alerts

Alerts are free and optional. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email. See our Privacy Policy.

If you believe content on Jobtown infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent: Wesley Pruitt, 127 Nathan Forest Dr, Hendersonville, TN 37075, classes@jobtownclassboard.com. Include your contact information; the copyrighted work; the URL of the material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We will remove infringing material and may cut off repeat infringers. For other corrections or removals, use the Contact page.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Jobtown and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost money, travel costs, time or data, arising from your use of the site, any listing, any provider or any class. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If content you submit or your misuse of the site causes a claim against Jobtown, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from it.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Sumner County, Tennessee, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your home state or country gives you a right to bring the claim locally.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new effective date. Continued use means you accept the update.
